Orlando City hope to take Kaka to MLS in 2015

The coach of the American club, Adrian Heath, says he is aware the Brazilian legend's contract at Real Madrid runs out in two years and would love to make him a MLS player
Orlando City coach Adrian Heath says he hopes to make Kaka their franchise player in 2015, assuming they are in the MLS.

Heath, who has been in charge of the third tier club since 2011, says the 31-year-old Brazilian star would be number one choice in two years' time because his contract runs out with Real Madrid.

"If we reach the MLS in 2015 we would love Kaka to play for us," Heath told AS.

"You don't have to be Einstein to realise his contract expires in the same year that we intend to reach the MLS."

Kaka visited the facilities of the club on Friday, and because he is close friends with co-owner Flavio Augusto da Silva could make them favourites to land the attacking midfielder.

Kaka is the third most expensive signing in Madrid's history at around €65 million [£55.3m], behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

He has won 87 caps for Brazil since his debut in 2002, scoring 29 goals in the process
