(TOPTEN RICHEST PLAYERS 2014) MESSI ABURUZWA NA RONALDO KWA KUWA NA MKWANJA MREFU( TOP TEN HII HAPA)
10 – Fernando Torres ($21.3 Million)
image: http://myfirstclasslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Fernando-Torres.jpgFernando Torres is currently on loan from Chelsea FC to AC Milan. If you are new to soccer, that means that he has to return to Chelsea once his contract is up in Milan, unlike a typical trade in… any other sport. The superstar footballer has been with his current wife Olalla Dominguez since he was a budding star with his U15 club in Spain (she certainly picked the winning horse in that race!).
In his spare time, Torres has appeared in a
Spanish pop music video for an El Canto del Loco Song. For those that
don’t speak Spanish, that means “The Singing Madmen.” They are basically
the Spanish version of Nickelback.
9 – Yaya Touré ($21.7 Million)
image: http://myfirstclasslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Yaya-Tour%C3%A9.jpgYaya Toure may sound like something that you yell out when you’re happy, but it’s really the name of the successful player from the Ivory Coast, currently playing for Manchester City. Toure has scored 59 goals in his senior career, which amounts to a cool $367,796.61 per goal scored! Sure that’s more money than most of us will see in a few decades, but we’re not scoring goals like Toure, are we?
The midfielder has reached his early 30’s,
which is pretty old for a soccer player, but that hasn’t stopped him
from achieving success at the highest level with Manchester City. For
four years running, he has won the award for best Soccer Player from
Africa, starting in 2011. There’s a good chance that Toure is going to
win again in 2015 after helping the Ivory Coast win the Africa Cup of
Nations early in the year.
8 – Sergio Agüero ($23.3 Million)
image: http://myfirstclasslife.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Sergio-Ag%C3%BCero.jpgSergio Aguero hails from the other side of the Atlantic of his teammate Yaya Toure, coming from Argentina to play in Manchester City. Aside from once being married to Giannina Maradona, the daughter of an Argentinian soccer God, he may also be the richest nerd in all of sports. Why? Aguero has a prominent tattoo on his right arm in the language of the Elves, from the Lord of the Rings series.
Aguero has had a very successful senior career,
with a combined 163 goals over the past 11 years with Independiente,
Atletico Madrid and Manchester City. We should have known that his
success was imminent when he won the FIFA Young Player of the Year Award
in 2007 to go along with the most goals in the 2007 U-20 World Cup.
Aguero isn’t close to done yet, as he is only 26 years old.
7 – Wayne Rooney ($23.4 Million)
Wayne Rooney was perhaps, at one point, the most recognizable face in soccer. It definitely wasn’t the prettiest face (oh, Beckham!) but it was recognizable. He’s still earning a ton of money and recognition as a longtime member of Manchester United, though some will say he’s over the hill. But that’s all subjective in soccer, considering he hasn’t even reached the age of 30 yet! Soccer does have a way of making young men feel old.
To those that don’t follow the sport too
closely, Rooney has been the icon of Manchester United soccer since the
star power has been in his last name. Rooney has won the Goal of the
Season Award a total of three times. Known for his exciting bicycle kick
and hitting the right spots of the net, Rooney’s highlight reel might
be one of the best ever.
6 – Neymar ($33.6 Million)
His name is Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, but just Neymar will do. He is the breakout superstar who gained international recognition at the latest World Cup, though people in Brazil have known of his talents for years (he literally broke his back playing for his country!). He makes $10 million more than our last English star, Rooney, and some will even say he earns every bit of that on Barcelona FC, making about $33 million more than you or I will ever see.
We will get plenty of Neymar over the next
decade or so, since he is only 23 years old. After achieving so much at a
young age, the expectations are high for what Neymar can do as a member
of the Brazil national team and Barcelona, where he has already netted
25 goals over just 45 games. If you can’t pick Neymar out of a crowd,
then just look for the person with the oddest hairstyle, that should
help you find him.
5 – Radamel Falcao ($35.4 Million)
Not many people are aware that the AS Monaco Football Club even exists, but they do, and they happen to be pretty good. Really there’s no better place to live and spend your tens of millions as a football superstar! Even though Monaco is one of the richest places in the world, they needed some extra money so they loaned Falcoa to Manchester United for 2014 in a deal that made him very, very wealthy. In Colombia he is almost as recognizable as Shakira! He opted to marry an Argentinean pop singer named Lorelei Taron, unfortunately passing up the chance to be Colombian Royalty, like the first couple of Canada, Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne.
4 – Gareth Bale ($36.4 Million)
Growing up in Wales, Gareth Bale was such a soccer prodigy that his PE teacher wouldn’t allow him to use his left foot while playing because it wasn’t fair to the other children. Now, he’s free to use whatever foot he likes as the superstar for Real Madrid, formerly of the Tottenham Hotspur for six years. Surprisingly less than half of his total earnings come from playing soccer, as he has lucrative endorsement deals that pay him over $15 million per year. Yeah, being a ridiculously talented, wealthy, good looking model must be tough.
3 – Zlatan Ibrahimovi? ($40.4 Million)
Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played for almost as many teams as letters in his name, with a total of seven. He has racked up a lot of frequent flyer miles moving between clubs, though has currently found a home with the Paris Saint-Germain. Not only is he the tallest on our list at 6’5″, he is also the oldest at 33. Nobody will be calling him grandpa, though, as he is a certified black belt. Not only will he score on your team, he will then beat you up and drive away in his $1 million Porsche 918 Spyder, proving that he wins at life.
2 – Lionel Messi ($64.7 Million)
At first glance Lionel Messi really doesn’t look like a professional athlete. He’s only 5’6″ and generally looks like your common guy. However, not only is he one of the richest athletes in the world, he’s one of the most prolific goal scorers in soccer history. I guess you won’t be laughing at his short stature for very long! In his entire career with Barcelona he has scored more than 250 goals. Undoubtedly his biggest score, however, was dating supermodel Luciana Salazar. Could a normal 5’6″ guy land an Argentinian super model without being filthy rich? Probably not, but I doubt Messi cares about that.
1 – Cristiano Ronaldo ($80 Million)
Our list concludes with the richest, and probably most hated player in the entire world, Cristiano Ronaldo. Perhaps it’s his wealth, good looks, or extremely high skills that fuels the anti-Ronaldo fire, we will never know! But there really is no doubting that he is one of the best to ever play the game.
Ronaldo has spent the last six years with Real
Madrid, after a long run with Manchester United. Since joining the club
he has averaged 1.12 goals per game in his first 178 appearances. That’s
ridiculous. There are entire teams who can’t score more than one goal
per game! In his personal life, Cristiano has a future soccer phenom son
with an unidentified woman who has granted him full custody.
