Wayne Rooney trains ahead of Bayern Munich match

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney trained ahead of his side's Champions League quarter-final, second leg at Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

There were concerns over the striker's fitness after he picked up a toe injury in the first leg, which ended 1-1, and he missed Saturday's win at Newcastle.
However, Bayern boss Pep Guardiola expects the 28-year-old to feature.
"He will play, I am 100% sure and I am willing to bet a large glass of beer on it," said Guardiola.

“"It will be tough because in my opinion Bayern and Barcelona are the two best teams left in the competition, so we have to be at our best"”

Holders Bayern struggled to break down United's defence in the first leg at Old Trafford and Guardiola is again expecting the Old Trafford side to try to frustrate the German champions.
"I think United will be again waiting for us at the back," said the Spaniard. "They will be waiting deep, deep in their own half.
"English teams defend and then wait for the quick break. [United coach] David Moyes also has eight, nine players at the back. They are waiting for mistakes, set pieces and breaks.
"That is why we have to be disciplined. We are playing at home and that is important and we know exactly what to do to attack well."
Bayern have already won the German title but their record 53-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga came to an end last Saturday after an under-strength side lost 1-0 at Augsburg.
They have not won in three games but Guardiola said: "I knew we would lose eventually. The team knows how important the Champions League is.
"Obviously we still have to play the last few Bundesliga games but our targets are now different ones."
Bayern may be favourites but Rooney believes United can cause an upset at the Allianz Arena.

"Everyone has their favourites every year - the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich - but it does not always happen," he told the Uefa website. 
"When Chelsea won it [in 2012] they nearly went out of the competition three times.
"We believe we can go through. We have good enough players.
"It will be tough because in my opinion Bayern and Barcelona are the two best teams left in the competition, so we have to be at our best.
"We are ready. It's an exciting game for us all - the players and the fans - and it's a massive game to be involved in."
